The PADI Assistant Instructor Course is where your adventure as a diving professional continues..
Our Assistant Instructor programme uses the new PADI modular Instructor Development course, making this Part 1 of the IDC. The AI programme consists of 2 parts:
INDEPENDENT LEARNING:
This consists of about 16 hours of home study, completing the candidate workbook knowledge reviews prior to the start of the course.
CLASSROOM:
Then to continue the course you will attend the following presentations.a. Course Orientation
b. Learning, Instruction & the PADI System c. PADI Discover Scuba & Snorkeling Programs d. Developing Knowledge Development Presentations e. Teaching the Project AWARE & Peak Performance Specialties f. Teaching in Confined Water g. Conducting Open Water Training Presentations More detailed information is given when applying for this course.As with all PADI Courses this course is performance based, but this course must be conducted over at least 3 days.
The PADI Assistant Instructor course, will make the world a potential workplace for you as a Diving Professional.
Entry Requirements
18 years or greater with a PADI Divemaster certification or equivalent qualification. Must have proof of at least 60 logged dives including Deep, Night & Navigation diving. A current HSE Medical stating fitness for diving. Proof of CPR & First Aid training within the last 24 months.
